“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of the faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:13-16
“Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25
In the spirit of these verses, it is only appropriate that we respond to the call of prayer. God’s promises regarding prayer are exciting and real, because He can do all things! Please join me in prayer for the following people and circumstances. Feel free to comment with any requests you may have, and I will add them to the list. Please remember, however, that this is the internet, and all information is public, so…be sure to use only first or last names or be general in your request — God knows who they are!

Julie and Friends,
Please pray for Shelley, Joel, and her 2 girls, (Shelley) who had an emergency C-section at 32 weeks and is dealing with the loss of her sweet baby girl. She is strong in her faith, but I know that lifting her up for strength and peace would be a wonderful thing during this time. They have a peace that passes all understanding, but I know prayer for them would be an added plus!

Bryon,
You are most welcome. Ali’s story was brought to my attention by Johnnie Ruth. We will certainly add her to our list, fervently praying for her recovery, and check back with you from time to time. May God bless you and your family, and especially little Ali.
In Christ,
Julie

Calvin,
Thank you for sharing your heart. I will pray for you — for forgiveness and healing. God is loving and cares about you, not willing that any should perish, but that all would have everlasting life in Christ Jesus. (2 Peter 3) If you ask for forgiveness with your whole heart, He will hear you. I pray that you will trust Him to lead your life daily.
In regards to your health, I cannot assure you that God will heal you this side of heaven. I know He allows many trials in our lives for the purpose of making us stronger. (Romans 5:3-4) Whatever He allows, we must willingly accept, and use that circumstance as an opportunity to witness to others. He, however, does hear our requests, our desires, and our prayers for healing. If it is in His will, He will restore your health. I will pray with you that God will heal your body, give you comfort and rest, and allow your testimony of it all to touch the lives of another.
I pray that you will be comforted and feel better soon — both spiritually and physically. Are you part of a church fellowship? If not, I would encourage you to seek a church home and allow the members to minister to your needs during this time. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.
Many blessings,
Julie

Please pray for me. I have (like many others) been thru many hurtful, and abusive situations in my life..I divorced my husband 7years ago due to abuse remarried him in april’06. I fell very deep in love, and sin with another man who I thought was my knight in shining armor(not good), the lord opened my eyes there better but still have some feelings/desires for him..Lost my gramma, and Mom this last year. Years ago was raped by husband s brother…The importasnt thing for prayer is stop all the horrible sin (including drinking, and smoking cigarettes again)To be COMPLETELY in God’s will and take these horrible things and have the Lord bring good outa all these things. Please help me I suffer from depression, and just can’t live like this I want to serve the Lord the way I am soppose to not serve the world, and satan…
Thankyou, God Bless your ministry…Cheryl
Also my finances having issues financially.

Cheryl,
I’m so glad you stopped by. I believe that it is no coincidence that God sent you here. I also believe in the power of prayer, and want you to know that you are in mine. Also, Tuesday night (6/19/07) there were a whole room full of people (approx. 13+) here in Texas interceding to God on your behalf.
I don’t have “magic” words to take your pain and past away. I can’t promise you that tomorrow it will all be gone and everything will be new again. However, I CAN point you to God, who can! He has the answers and the plan. Stay in His Word, the bible. Remain in prayer daily. Examine yourself in everything, asking if God would bless your every action before you take it.
I encourage you to seek a church home. Fellowship with other believers can help support your steps to reconcile your life, family, and relationships. Allow them to minister to you. Seek their direction and advice. Call upon the pastor/elders to pray for you and participate in activities/bible studies that are offered by the church.
“…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14
It is important to allow yourself to start anew. Press toward the goal — toward Christ Jesus. I will continue to pray for you and ask God to renew your strength daily. Please let me know how you are doing, and how I can continue to help.
May God give you peace, encouragement, and love.
In Christ,
